404 - Agility Foundations - Instructor: Bailey WhitedRegular price $150.00
A 6-week course appropriate for handlers with dogs of all ages who are interested in the foundations underlying competition agility.
Tuesdays at 7 pm on July 27, August 3, 10, 24, 31 and September 7
This class focuses on the building blocks for a great agility partnership. Although standard agility obstacles will be introduced, the basics can be learned completely “on the flat”. No jumping or climbing will be necessary until the instructor and you agree that it is safe for your dog.
A good recall (Come command) and Stay are essential for success due to the off-leash nature of agility.
Dogs without adequate obedience skills or dogs exhibiting uncontrolled reactivity or aggression may be asked to pursue private lessons before group classes are appropriate. In order to provide quality group instruction and maximize opportunities for new dogs to work with distractions in the ring, all handlers are required to crate their dogs while they are not actively being worked.
Prerequisite: Beginner Obedience class (or prior obedience training)
Limit 4 dog/handler teams per class.
Instructor: Bailey Whited
