Barb Knowlton
Barb has 21 years of experience training a variety of dogs. She first started training for household obedience, then progressed to competition in obedience, hunt tests, agility, dock diving, field trials, and frisbee. She has also worked with service dogs through Canine Companions for Independence out of Florida.

All Agility training is done positively, with treats and toys. Barb has attended many seminars that she adds to her toolbox. She does not follow any one particular method but instead she looks for how the dog responds to commands and helps you develop a plan that will work best for the team.

She presently owns three labs; Kylie, Chandler and Chapel, and recently added a border collie, Kensi, to the mix.  Kylie, at almost 12 years old has completed her MACH 8 in Agility, has been ranked in the top 10 labs for 6 years, and has qualified for the Agility Nationals for the past 6 years-she is now retired from Agility. Chandler enjoys hunting and Frisbee the most and was trained to be a service dog. Chapel is at the Master level Agility hoping to qualify for Agility Nationals this year.  All her Labs have an AKC Junior Hunt title.  Kensi, now 4, is at the excellent level in agility, also hoping to Qualify for the Agility Nationals this year, and loves playing Frisbee.
